We are headed to Destin for a few days and what type of beer is close to the taste of michelob? I keep hearing modelo, any suggestions? I don’t drink beer on a regular basis any longer and just checking in on opinions. I have been drinking michelob for 40 plus years prior to their latest fiasco? (Not to get into that). Thanks

I’d consider trying something from the local breweries. Michelob is a “Pale Lager” so if you like that, look for something similar (Not Pale Ale).

I’m not a big beer drinker, but when I do, I find myself buying Dos XX.

Seems as if Yuengling has a string following as well now days, but haven’t tried it yet.

Lone Star....imo

I actually like Lone Star but only want it in a bottle which is a nogo at the beach.

One I just tried and really enjoyed is made by Independance Brewing Company called Native Texan. Its a pilsner.

Yuengling flight is close to Michelob ultra but much better. Should be easy to find in Destin also.

Just drink the Michelob.. That fiasco was all overblown, and there are so many products that support what we don't...that you would starve and only drink tap water if you boycotted everything...plus you would be almost naked.

Lol you are probably correct. We have a wide variety including “that beer”, Yuengling, Miller light, modelo.
