    Any bi-vocational pastors out there?

Any other bi-vocational pastors on here?

We were just blessed recently with taking the pastorship of a small congregation in central Texas, and I just wanted to reach out and see if there were any other bi-vocational pastors on here.

I'd love to be able to fellowship with you all, and possibly pick your brain on some issues. Feel free to PM me!

Here…no way I go back to grind of a “full time” pastorate without a burning bush in my yard.

i have done both and love the balance of a healthy church that understands what co-vocational ministry is.

Prayers for you as you shepherd the flock and also as you minister to those you work with away from your church. What town in central Tx?

Malone, TX. It’s about 10 minutes east of Hillsboro. I grew up in that area so it’s been pretty cool to see folks I grew up around. We have a bit of a drive since we live in DFW, but I have family around there so it’s not too bad.

My Dad did part-time for a while, after full time pastoring during the early part of my life (12 years). Sometimes we would be in a rotation of churches every 2nd or 3rd Sunday, pending the needs during that time of my life. After getting settled in life in Mansfield, filled in at our local when our full time needed a vacation, or other needs. We have 8 pastors now at our reg church. And a very large congregation. Dad passed Sept 2020. I know where he is.
