    Game Cameras

Which game camera are people recommending now? non-cell. I have several older browning cameras that need to be replaced.

I have Muddy, Cuddeback, Browning, Wildgame, and Treeline non-cell cams out and the Cuddeback White/Silver 20mp, to me, give the best consistency.

I never have to re-format cards, deal with clunky programming, or change batteries often. I’ve got 6 that lasted 2+ seasons on Energizer Lithiums. Downside is the price. I went to buy more a few weeks ago and they’d doubled in price since I got mine in 2018.

I've slowly been replacing the bad one on our place with the $29.95 Tascos from Walmart Medium quality night pictures and decent battery life. If one goes bad, chunk it and buy another one. So far none have gone bad in 3 years.

Wes is right though, Browning is the best. Unbelievable battery life and great pictures day and night.

I went the Tasco route 2 yrs ago on 1 camera! They take horrible night pictures, they fog up after rains and in high humidity days and mine is starting to take really bad shots all of the time! That being said, I just changed out the batteries that were in there for a year. I purchased a moultrie 900i this wknd in RockSprings to replace an older moultrie that died after 9 yrs of use. The 900i lives up to its reviews in taking great pics during the day but horribly Blurry pics at night so I will be taking it back next time I’m out there! We have a browning camera that is horrible ( not sure which model ) but it has a part time job ! I’m not going to spend over $100 per camera and it seems that everything out there in that range has bad reviews! I’m currently looking at the browning command & strike force but reviews are all over the place on them also! It’s a crap shoot in my humble opinion no matter what you get! I will progress from the tasco for sure !

You are right about picture quality but all of mine take good enough pictures to see what I need to see and the best part is 30 bucks.

Trying out the Stealth-Cam BT16, works pretty good for $45, only downside can't delete pictures from the camera. No big deal for me I just swap out a new SD card and look at them in the treestand with a reader.

Reconyx. Buy once cry once. I've got some 12 years old still running strong.

I know you said no cell cams but I hung up my Strike forces and put up Tactacam cams. So far they’ve been great. And you don’t have to connect to ATT/Verizon if you don’t want to. Just don’t buy the plan. ‍♂️

But what fun it is to be at work screwing off watching game cam pics! Or at family reunion telling everyone to screw off as you’re getting good pics from the lease right now!!

                        lol
