Any Vintage Precision Instruments experts around?

Maybe this should go in the classifieds, but I really need values, not buyers, at this time.

About 25 years ago, Raytheon Garland shut down its Modeling Shop and laid off the engineers. I bought this set of instruments from one of the engineers. I want to sell them, but this is a market that is all over the place, and you need some expertise to determine value. Looking for someone that understands these instruments and their values. I want a fair price for the entire lot, but not necessarily market price.

Most of this stuff is Starret, Brown&Sharpe, Mitutoyo, with a couple of other brands. Dial indicators, parallels, gauges, and misc. On Ebay, a couple of the Starret instruments are priced over $350, each, but that does not mean that is what they are worth. Any insights would be appreciated.

Here are some pictures. More instruments available, than shown in the pictures. I can provide detailed pics of individual instruments, if somebody wants to see them.

Quality horizontal and vertical milling tools right there. Is that a Kennedy chest they are in?

Sir, you have a good eye!!! I had always seen this name, on top of the box. I thought someone had stenciled their name on the box. I guess I was wrong. See picture, below. Unfortunately, I don't have the key for it.

Update: Wow!! You can still buy one, but I can't afford it.

I think all I have left from my QA/QC days is a couple of Starrett scales and a dial caliper. Sold everything else. Scales still have my original QA stamps on them from the late 70s.

Yep, was going to say the Kennedy box is one of the single most valuable items in the pics! Not sure what it's worth, but that's a Cadillac of tool boxes right there! That is a nice set of measurement tools right there. Probably not many young folks would know how to use most of them in today's world however...

Sitting next to my dining room table, at the moment. Bought back in 1981. Machines chest and base when I was working for Martin Sprocket & Gear at the Arlington home plant. They've gone a Lotta places with me.

You would be better served if you sell the items individually rather than trying to sell as a lot. They all seem to be good quality and well cared for. On the average expect to get 50% of new price.

Vintage? You're making me feel old! Most of that stuff is newer than what I'm using. Kennedy boxes are very popular but I never cared for them too much. The wheels on the roll away's are kind of cheesy. I've always used Craftsman mechanics boxes. I'm not sure on the tool values, but I'll be looking to sell mine pretty soon. I'll be looking for prices too. That's all quality stuff.
