Reveal X firmware update PSA

Got a notice that there was a firmware update available

Followed the instructions and everything went well but the camera did not show the update to have been effective

Contacted CS and the lady went through a few steps, then had me turn camera on and trigger it.
Once camera sent pic it updated the version of the firmware to what it should be.

So if you do the update, have it take a pic before you think it was not successful

I noticed several of the Cell Cam service companies are doing software/app updates this summer.

Thanks for the tip. I think I still have 7 or 8 Reveal X. Did you get an email notice or what? I haven’t seen anything saying I need an update

For the Reveal X gen 1, depending on what version of firmware your camera has, there are 2 different updates. You have to identify that first then download the appropriate files.
I had 2 cameras at the house and did the update on both. They work just like the Gen. 2 cameras now! Better still shots plus they will download videos to your phone.

Excuse my ignorance, do you have to put your hands on them to pull this off or can they do it remotely via cell signal?
