    Jumping through hoops for PayPal.

I’m newish to PayPal but when I received payment today it seems they’ve frozen my account with a multiple steps to be unfrozen.

have y’all experienced this? What am I supposed to do for the proof from supplier issue? This is a secondary sell of used goods.

Ive not had issues with PayPal but I know I will at some point. As far as proof are they asking for a tracking number?

Be careful. There is a scam going around. Looks like iaypal but the addy has one period in it. They get all your info including bank accounts tied to your paypal

I never had any strange issues unless they suspected fraudulent activity from someone who paid me, which they're pretty good at sniffing out. Having said that I killed off my PayPal account and never looked back. Their politics and IRS cooperation can suck it. I don't run a business so shouldn't have to explain taking payments for selling used goods.

Spot on, got rid of my account for the same reasons.

New or infrequent users of Paypal are often challenged. It is a less than seamless process. Until Paypal sees that you are a trustworthy individual, expect some bumps in the road. Provide shipping information. Once Paypal sees that delivery has occurred, they will release the funds. There may be a few days lag between delivery and the release of the funds in order to give the purchaser time to determine that you fulfilled your end of the transaction. After you are an established Paypal user, those holds will go away and you can use the Paypal balance as you please almost immediately.

This is likely the route I’m going.

most of the issues I've seen with paypal is due to someone putting a note/comment on the transaction that mentions something that goes against their policies. I have a business that accepts paypal payments and technically what we do could be interpreted as not being in line with their weapons policies however we've probably done over 20,000 paypal transactions and have only ever had 1 problem with them. That issue was because someone put "Damascus" in the notes for the payment and Paypal froze our account to investigate bc they wanted to make sure we weren't funding terrorist groups in Damascus, Syria. That was 6 or 7 years ago and it took 1 day to resolve.

I do transfer all of our money out of Paypal into our bank account at least 2 times per week just in case they ever do decide to freeze our account again so we don't have much in there at any one time.
