Wanting to get a good tripod for glassing with a quality head that’s easy to use. I’m not backpacking long distances so weight isn’t a huge deal but solid and the fluidity of the head is most important. Any suggestions?

I really like my Granite Creek Tripod. It is really light, doesn't take up much space in a pack and easy to use.
Not sure if it likes being next to a Hoyt though.

better to state usage then just light weight. All my set ups are light but they change with amount already in my pack. also how you glass sitting vs standing and angled vs straight spotter.
for BH sheep hunting last week I used:
tricer Bc/head combo(I only set down and glass due to wind and silhouette)
swaro 65HD angled
for Antelope and WTX/NM mule deer
artcise with bowl leveling and sirui 5a head(i stand up and glass a bunch) I use this tripod to shoot off of a bunch hence bowl leveling.
swaro 80 straight
archery elk
nothing, I dont even take bino’s
As far as glassing with bino’s from tripod I highly recommend Aziak Equipment assuming all your heads are acra swiss

I have to sit when glassing, I can’t get steady standing. And I have a straight spotter but prefer to use binoculars for glassing large landscape. I wear glasses and spotting scopes are tough because of the eye relief.
so sitting scoping. I only use spotting scope once I’ve found an animal and just trying to get detail
