Snake fell from sky, then this...

So this Silsbee grandma was out mowing the grass when this snake falls out of the sky, and coils around her arm. It started striking her repeatedly in the face, hitting her eyeglasses each time. Here's the whole story, and a pretty remarkable one at that!

All Peggy and Wendell Jones wanted was to end their day of yard work in Texas’ triple-digit summer heat by getting cleaned up and going to the casino.

Here's what her arm looked like after the whole ordeal...

That hawk or any that shared the same name would be dead meat. Screw that.

That is just crazy. I am not scared of snakes, but that would make me have to check my drawers.

If that had happened to me, it wouldn’t be the snake bite(s) I died of.

Heck of a story. Good thing the hawk was able to rid her of the snake. That's a tough lady.

WOW. Think I’d be having nightmares too.

That hawk must have REALLY wanted that snake! According to one doctor, much of the bruising on her arm was from the snake constricting so tightly onto her arm. What a story for her grandkids!

True or not, that story would win hands down at the national liers convention.

Sounds to me like the hawk was carrying the snake, dropped it, and swooped down to retrieve it for dinner.

I do not doubt the story at all,, but I do doubt the bruising was caused by the snake wrapping around her arm. I have had the pleasure of working with a hawk a few years ago as I have a nephew who has owned several. Even while wearing very thick heavy leather gloves for working with hawks their grip is incredible, and the talons sharper than any needle I have ever been stuck with! Her flesh did not even slow them down and they likely penetrated through or nearly through her arm,, bruising is simply blood under the skin,,, that hawk probably grabbed and released several times and there was plenty of blood to back that up..... glad she was able to tell the story and happy it was not me!
