Wade Fishing Advice - Port Isabel Area

Good morning,
Going to be down in Port Isabel for a couple days. I have never fished down in that area and was wondering if it would be worth taking any tackle and if anyone could offer any advice on some good spots to wade. I'm not going to have a lot of time, just going to be there 2 1/2 days. Thanks in advance.
