    WeBoost to hotspot?

We have limited cell service at the hunting spot, which is half of the fun of going. I can get texts out most of the time, and calls most of the time also, and service is pretty decent from my tree stand. Now that I'm a work-from-home guy, if I could get internet out there, I could just go to the hunting spot and work. No work to be done at sunrise and sunset anyway.

The WeBoost cell boosters come pretty well recommended here and elsewhere. My question is, do they work well enough to then enable your phone's hotspot feature? If I could get a video call out, it would be a great opportunity to work and hunt at the same time. I'd no longer be limited to just weekends.

The home version we put in the RV is the smallest they make I believe and we were able to stream TV with the hotspots on our phones. They work well if there is some signal. Look for the app, Opensignal. Will show you where the towers are and signal strength by testing it.

      Yes… sometimes..

Starlink RV ended up being a better deal. Just turn phones to wifi, After season suspend service.

I even used starlink RV last year when hunted CO and NM

I have the mid level home weboost and an att hot spot that works great for streaming tv, basic computer and phone needs. I have used my phone hot spot to stream with my weboost also. I think your plan would work fine but also wouldn’t be surprised if the zoom calls were a little slow depending on the signal you get.

For us it does. We are streaming all our TV now at the farm. We have a WeBoost small home setup with directional antenna on a pole about 20 or so foot up. We have 1 -2 bars outside On average and once we installed the booster we went to a consistent 4+.

It might. Is this the home internet from T-Mobile that is cellular-based?

If you have some level of service it will. Just make sure you get a booster that covers both CDMA and GSM then all carriers will be covered. Or at least one that matches your carriers network.
