I got a new buggy valued at 21,500 and just got full coverage - injury, theft, fire, everything for 399 a year through progressive. I had three different friends lose their buggy in fires last year with no insurance

When I wrote my first policy, it was basically an auto policy with liability, medical, collision, the works. I told them to take all that crap off and only cover against theft. My rate went down SIGNIFICANTLY. Somewhere up above is what I pay now^^^^
Edit: is see it was a couple years ago. I’m up to $112/year.

On something worth less than $10,000 to $12,000 I do not take out insurance other than liability if it will be used in public. I do have one tractor insured on my homeowners policy. $25,000 of comprehensive coverage for roughly $140 per year. I've never even asked about an ATV/UTV because I've never spent enough on one to justify taking out insurance. I did have boat insurance through Progressive because my insurer of choice did not offer coverage. It was about $250 a year and was dropped when the value of the boat dropped below $10,000.
