Best timed stand & fill gravity feeder?

    Best timed stand & fill gravity feeder?

    I'm in the market for a reliable and long lasting timed gravity feeder (corn/protein mix). I've been looking at All Seasons, Lamco, and HB but am open to other suggestions. This would also need to be a stand and fill feeder that my 70yo dad could fill sometimes.

    The area where this feeder would go is fenced but I still have a herd of keg-sized raccoons that somehow make it over the fence of the pen and keep the deer off feed. So I'm not sure the trough style feeders would be ideal. I've never had one so I'm curious how that's worked out for people.

    What has worked for yall and what else is out there?

    Lamco is a bit pricey but, good. All Seasons is good for the price. As for HB, don’t know much about them. Just my 2 cents.

            What is a “timed gravity” feeder?

            Does it just drop a certain amount of feed down a tube?

                We have the timed HB feeder - only complaint I have is that the tray needed some more holes drilled in it to help with drainage.

                Almost all of them require a ladder or a truck bed to fill them.


                It stays full a lot better than our bigger capacity gravity feed models, I think all three of the others are gravity all seasons​

                  I have a couple Lamco trough feeders that have been fantastic! One has been working non stop for about 7 years. It’s fed goats, Aoudad, Red Stag, Axis, whitetail, Sika, and pigs. Nothing has damaged it or caused any problems with it.

                  same can be said for the Lamco Low and Throw feeders. I have 6 of them
