    Best Tree Saddle?

Hey guys I have been bow hunting public a lot lately and have been trying to figure out what saddle setup might be best. TIA

I have been looking into Tethrd and Hawk a lot.

    Which saddles would you recommend?

Which one would you stay away from?

What accessories are needed or helpful?

    any specific brand?

I watched a LOT of saddle videos before I decided on Cruzr. Theres a youtube channel called thesaddlehunter or something like that where this guy reviews just about every saddle out there. You may want to look him up.

I have the jx3 hybrid. Heavy, hard to climb new spots with. Ridiculously comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. Once you're in the tree it's the best saddle out there imo. If you like run and gun style hunting, you won't love it.

that's pretty much what i'm hearing on the forums. i do a lot of pre sets so the idea of not using a platform appeals to me. do you carry your sticks and pack stuff inside the jx?

I hunt presets pretty much exclusively. You can carry the sticks inside the saddle and I've done that a time or two. Use a bino case chest harness or a fanny pack to carry my other stuff in.

I'll usually put two sticks side by side at the top to serve as a quasi ring of steps. The wild thing steps are great for that. I'll sit until about 830, then every half hour stand for 15 minutes.

Shot a old 8 point in east texas setup about 8-10 feet above an old ladder stand. Funny thing was, he walked out of the woods at 1130 about 15 feet from the stand, stopped, and looked up right at the ladder stand, never saw me above it and behind a branch. Put his head down and kept walking until I punched his ticket. Hard to replicate but the decoy stand trick might come in handy again some time hunting pressured deer

I hunted out of a Tethrd Phantom for several years. I went to a Overwatch Orion last season. I love it. It's a pleated saddle that you can adjust the pleat for leaning or sitting. The materials and craftsmanship are the best in the industry.

I’ve been using a Treehopper Recon for years. I have some Wild edge steps for climbing. Also have some preset spikes in some trees. Trying a ring of steps this year and have a predator platform. Next set of lineman and tether ropes will be 8 mm instead of the 11mm that I currently have. Look up John Eberhart on YouTube.

Other question how do you pack your stuff in? I have used an old backpack and bungee cords for years but would like to upgrade
