Sandblasting in the greater Houston area?

I am trying to restore at generator that my father in law gave me. It is an old Chinese rusted up generator ....but he is very proud of it and comments on it every time he comes over. (it doesn't work). So I want to OVER restore the hell outta this thing and suprise him. I need somewhere who can sandblast the frame and gas tank. I tried to sand it myself and paint....and its horrible. The places I have found online want big ticket items like car chassis and stuff and don't seem to want to bother with a generator frame. Anybody know of a place that will gladly accept a small generator frame?

I'm sure someone with the equip would do it for some beer money as a small weekend project. Wish i could help. Good luck finding someone... Nice gesture.

If you have a decent sized air compressor, I've used the cheap one's from harbor freight for small projects and been very pleased. It's sho nuff messy tho..that chit blows everywhere!

This x2 I would set it inside a make shift booth that you can set up out of tarps to minimize the mess and hit it with one from harbor freight. Juat make sure you sand granuals ain't too big or it will clog easily.

I used one for the wheels and ammo can saddle bags on this bike I used to have before I powder coated them black and it worked really well.

Might check into the sand blast rigs that work with a pressure washer. There are some YouTube videos. Look up Keith Rucker on Vintage Machinery. I think he recommends using pool filter sand.

What are the dimensions? My neighbor just purchased a vapor blaster. Not sure how large of an item will fit in it, though. I can ask.
