Hopefully they didn't have any of those wretched ostriches

Some folks on here would call that a challenging hunt, as long as you’re using a bow

I was glad they didn’t ! They did have some emus, but they are much better mannered than ostriches. Had a couple of nilgai too, but all I could see were backstraps ! Click image for larger version

I did not know they had a Bull Nilgai! I am assuming this is Cherokee Trace? We went last year! Grandkids love it!!

I’m sure they feed them something because the browse was gone as far as anything could reach and the grass was lip high. Several animals looked like they could stand a little something but most of them were in good shape. They had more than one nilgai bull, that was just the closest one. Another one was about 75 yards away and looked to be pretty nice bull. They had lots of blackbucks, but not many mature ones. They might sell them off when they get pretty close to being trophies, but that’s just speculation on my part. And yes, it was Cherokee Trace. I’ve lived 15 minutes from them for over 25 years and that’s my first trip.

At least there’s nothing to do with a cottontail.
