    All terrain tire recommendation

I'm looking for a good all around tire that will spend most of the time on the highway . It will occasionally see some time in the mud at the lease but not a lot. It does not need to be a super aggressive mud tire. What does everyone recommend. I tried the search function but it shows no results. .

Toyo open country or bfg ko2’s. I’d buy which ever is cheaper at the time.

Always like bfg ko2 but they have been almost impossible to get in my area for 2 years now. I’ll need new tires by this fall…. Don’t know what direction I’ll go. Last time I went with a Toyo mud grip. Looked great, but I don’t think they will make 16,000 miles

I’ve ran Toyo, Nitto, BFG, Michelin, Mickey Thompson and others. The absolute best All-Terrain tire for me have been The Cooper Discoverer ATP/3 series of tires. They have by far given me the most mileage (Nitto and Toyo SUCK as far as that goes) the best ride and very good traction when I’ve needed it off road. This tire is on 3 of our vehicles and a work truck.

BFG KO2s are junk IMHO. I've had balancing and cupping issues on several sets.

Now I'm running Nitto Ridge Grapplers (heavy duty 10 ply E1s). I like the feel better and they seem to be higher quality tires. Yes, they cost more, but it's worth it. I'm coming up on 50K miles and still have pretty decent tread.

my Coopers were so great. Not much mud, and they even got to do Old Ore rd in Big Bend…so good

I've ran the following Nitto, BFG & Michelin. Last set I had was the Nitto grappler G2 that I put 65,000 miles on and still had tread. Tires were rotated every 10,000 miles. I just replaced and the G2 is no longer available so I went with it's replacement grappler recon and have been happy so far.

I've always had great luck with Michelin AT but they are not aggressive. Really made for street use. I typically get 80K on them. This time I went with BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. So far so good. Not as quiet but more aggressive. Good luck.

I recently switched from some of the ones mentioned on the post to Yokohama. I have about 5,000 miles on them with no complaints.

This, I'm running the Falken wild peak at3. Got 13,000 miles and no visible signs of wear. I pull a gooseneck a few days a week. When I was researching I daw people getting 50,000 out of these tires of HD trucks.

Cooper AT3 XLTs here. I wanted an AT tire with more plies because we have a lot of mesquite, cactus and cedar stobs on our lease. My set of Goodyears Ultra-Terrains that came on my Tundra were so soft. They had a lot of patches in them over three years for stuff that didn't need patching in my previous 8-10 ply tires on my F350. It was between that and the Falkens and the Coopers won out. Plus a bonus at the time ...they had a $75 rebate going on for the Coopers

I try everything. My next ones will be the Finnish brand Nokian Outpost AT or the Goodrich Trail Terrain TA.

I’m currently running Toyo Open Country AT3 and they aren’t bad.

I have a lot of rocks to contend with so my tires last maybe a year. If the Pathfinder was in my size, I’d probably just run them for my use.

I just switched from Toyo AT3 to Cooper AT3 4S and I don't think I will ever go back. The ride quality is night and day. The Coopers ended up being cheaper than the Toyos also.
