I was just in that same area tarpon fishing with a guide two weeks ago. We caught a bunch of snook and had to get them in the boat asap because the sharks were so thick. We lost a bunch of fish to sharks and had multiple hook ups but they would end up busting the line. I had the guide throw a big bait on a big reel and we caught a 6 foot lemon shark that we brought up to the boat. I'd never seen sharks like that before. The guide had told me don't put your hands in the water.

That would get the old ticker beating good. He had blood on the side of the boat before he got back in.

Good old Florida Bay. Had two in a deep hole at low tide, lunge at the canoe I was paddling in, nerve wracking. Then you get back to the boat ramp, and a 10ft gator is sunning on the ramp - The Flamingo FL area.

Fellow was lucky he managed to get back in the boat fast.
