UPDATE: Since I posted this article, Jefferson Bethke and I have had a chance to talk by email and over the phone. I included some of our conversation in a follow up post. I hope you will be as encouraged by the exchange as I was. ****** There’s a new You Tube video going viral and it’s about Jesus and religion. Specifically how Jesus hates religion. The video—which in a few days has gone from hundreds of views to thousands to millions—shows Jefferson Bethke, who lives in the Seattle area, delivering a well-crafted, sharply produced, spoken word poem. The point,...
Here's a good read if you want to come back down out of the clouds, that put the video in perspective to the Bible.
Be sure to read the Follow Up emails linked at the top of the blog post, before you get too bent out of shape.
i just read the follow up email.. i posted the video cuz i thought it was great how it showed how amazing Jesus is, because hes my savior, but i do think there are for sure some stuff in that video that i DONT fully agree with, but the overall point he was making was why i liked the video

That's pretty much what the blog article posted above and all the other criticism that this video has received has said. It's obvious that the kid has a heart for Jesus, and that should obviously be what every Christian should have. But going to the extreme to say that Christ's church has no value and we should all just focus on our individual relationships with Him is wrong. The kid didn't seem to realize that was what he was implying in the video. In reading his emails to the guy from the blog posted above, it sounds like he has realized this now and has a better understanding of the importance for Christians to be a part of Christ's body in addition to having healthy personal relationships with Jesus. That can and should be done without making "religion" a "god", obviously. So it still fits with what the kid was trying to say.

Definitely, he has an even better piece about extramarital sex. I do prefer Propaganda over Jefferson however. I feel he has better writing and delivery.
