The ballistic coefficient of the 6.5mm bullets in the 120 to 140gr range are awesome. With the right barrel, and load, they are extremely flat shooting. Combined with the velocity that the. 264 Magnum is capable of, they deliver a lot of downrange energy. Of course, they are a loud and distribute some of their energy into the shooter.

Remington has or had a Sendero offered in it the last couple of years.

My grandmother was still hunting at age 70 after my Grandaddy had passed and she went to my uncle's lease to hunt with him. They camp was a little too primitive for her at 70 so she stayed in a local hotel.
The story goes that she accidentally left it in the hotel and it was never seen again. I heard a rumor it could be in my uncle's gun safe room at his house but I don't know....my grandmother always shot a .300 Savage lever action...why she brought the .264 that weekend is a mystery...
Niiice on the LC Smith....Dad collects old sxs.....what gauge is it?
