    K Line Pod Irrigation

Any of you have it? They sell a 2 acre Kit. It is supposed to be easy to move around and you can use it with low pressure. Any thoughts?

I worked for a cattle ranch on the south side of san antonio and we used them on about 15 acres that our pivot wouldn't reach. They were a PIA. Without 2 people it was way to easy to pull them loose at the riser, any little thing that got in the pod with the sprinkler would cause the sprinkler to not sprinkle and with the low water pressure the sprinklers wouldn't reach very far and took many moves to cover any ground.

That I don't know. But I am cOmparing the kpods to using a roll off or old hand moves like cosmo cowboy mentionEd.

What was your price on the kpods? For only 2 acres I'd invest in a couple of the big rain birds

No experience with them but I sure hope the person who created this system makes many millions of dollars. That looks like a great product

Looking at how to irrigate a couple plots right now. After going back and forth I have about decided the following.

Run a trencher down one side of the plot. I have an underground line near that I will T in to and then run PVC with hose bibs near the fence, spaced 150 feet or so. I think I will have enough pressure to run sprinklers off a hose but if not I will use soaker hose. I wont get 100% coverage of my plots but I will get enough to make it worth it.

For comparison I paid about $1 a foot for the 2" aluminum irrigation pipe with risers.
