    approximate tire repair/rotation charges?

I got a flat tire yesterday so during lunch today I took the tire down to one of the tire shops here in Graham to get the flat tire fixed and all 4 tires rotated. I went in with an expected price for the completion of the job and came out of there bumfuzzled over the price they charged me.

What would you expect a tire fix and 4 tire rotation to cost you at a tire shop

For a patch $10-$15, if you had bought a tire, the rotation should be free if they want future business.

I must just be dazed by the high prices of services these days as a whole. I went into it expecting to pay around $40 for all of it to be completed and my total was $18. Just wondering how they keep the doors open with rates like that. I guess with people like me that appreciate the fact that they don't charge me an arm and a leg to get a tire fixed or tires rotated.

Not anymore. I bought two trailer tires today at DT. Had to pay $16 a tire for life time rotation and balance. Plus had to pay extra for their free replacement plan(don't have the receipt in front of me so I don't remember how much). I know they used to do it for free as long as you bought the tires from them. Apparently things have changed.

That is one reason I quit DT, they wanted to start charging for every little thing. Where I buy tires at Rick's Warehouse, flats and tire rotation are free and they will fill your tires with nitrogen for free when you buy a new set.

I still get mine rotated and balanced for free here is San Antonio. Got them done last week at Discount. Granted I bought the tires a year ago so maybe it's grandfathered in and now they make you get the lifetime plan.

I'm sure they want your buisness again. Hard to find a place like that
