I shot a deer January '11 that I am wanting to get scored for the books. I shot the deer on a Friday evening, but was not recovered until Monday morning under buzzards. I was told I will need field pics for the submission process, but the only pics I have are of me in front of ranch gate with just the head since everything else was completely chewed up. Does anyone know if this effect anything with the submission / application process?

Did you continue to hunt during the period between the time the deer was hit and when it was found. If this is the case, then it will probably be rejected, if not and all you did was to continue to look and search for the deer, then it will probably be allowed. Abandoning the search and finding it later is not good. I do not think you need pics of the deer when it was found, you just need front, 2 side views of the horns and a field pic if you have one to be submitted for entrance into P&Y. You will also have to submit an explanation of what happened and wht you did between the time you shot the deer and when you found it to satisfy the people at P&Y.
