      yeah, if its been sitting for a while. we took some gas out of a boat that had been sitting and poured a small amount on a metal table and tried to light it, it would not light. Crazy.

        if you're lucky that is all it will take....it is very possible your fuel lines might have collapsed, carb might be crudded up

          might i add that the white tip on the electrode makes me want to say it might be running lean and or hot = not getting enough fuel. I could be wrong.

            take the air cleaner off, spray some ether or starter fluid in the carb and see if it fires up....if it does...fuel....

            next, check all the fuel lines...are you sure the petcock is turned on, ie, is the valve handle turned to so it is parallel or perpendicular to the line?...next, if the valve handle is in fact turned to the open (parallel) position, get a bucket, pull the line on the carb side and see if it drains, if it does, let it all drain out....if it doesn't drain and you know there is gas in there...prolly have a collapsed line
