what kind of a year(deer season) was it for you? We didn't see near the number of deer we usually do (not even on the game cameras). Ended up with 1 doe, 1 mature spike. Not a bad year but I'm hearing from alot of folks, all over, that the deer were mighty scarce.

Same here.....not nearly the numbers I've seen on camera as opposed to last year. Early in the season (bow) the deer were really thin and small. Seems like their overall health has improved since the start of hunting season, but the numbers aren't there.

Hunted 1 weekend during bow season on a day lease in Wheeler County. Killed my first bow buck on my first evening hunt. Not bad for not having a lease.

It was the best ever. 5 deer and 3 pigs. Shot my first deer and pig with a bow. Slowest sit of the year I saw 11 deer.

seen deer on camera/running away from me when i was walking to and from stand/seen from road on my property.... as for seeing any while in stand-negative.

Not nearly as many deer seen or shot this year. We were constantly commenting about it. I think the draught had something to do with it.

I saw 12 deer the first evening on stand (friday before gun season started) and after that, only one or two at a time(some days, nothing at all). I only saw 2 mature does the whole season and didn't see a buck with a branched antler until this past weekend. Everything I saw this year was young. I bow hunt only so I believe next year I am going to take full advantage and hunt earlier in the year before everyone starts showing up for gun season. Usually I just wait for the weather to cool off.

Not near the numbers but managed to get a 10 pt, 8 pt, and doe opening week. Knee surgery shut down the last month of the season.

managed to get my five deer in llano county near enchanted rock. although, it was a tough year of hunting. Was after a monster 11 in bexar county but him along with all of the other deer i had coming pulled out and fed on the native grasses.
