    chl question

    wifa is looking to get her chl. she was born in seoul s korea while dad was stationed over there. the website isnt giving an option for her.

    can she get one?

    Yes, she will need to prove US citizenship. I got a consular birth abroad papers, and from there a US passport, which allowed me to get mine.

                        Thats got to be pretty common. I personally know 4 people who were born in Germany on Military bases to service members.

                        They are considered US born because it was a military base, but they would not be able to say which State they were born in. I'm sure the state has dealt with this multiple times. Shouldnt be too much of an issue.

                          Just filled mine out online and listed Australia down and only needed a city and had no issues with the application just needed to send proof of citizenship in with the registration packet

                            Agree.. don't think it will be an issue during the background check.. but just getting the box filled in correctly is a bit of a pita!
