Moose hunt

Was going to go Moose Hunt this year in Alaska with my bow. Ive never shot a big one. Anyone every shot a big one like this one? Sure love moose meat. mmmm good!!!

I put in for noise hunt draw in Alaska... Hope to see that big daddy

Hunted in Maine in 2002 with a cow license and saw 9 bulls - no cows. Had a nice bull come within 30 yards on opening day. Maine bulls are big, but Alaska/Yukon moose are a different story. I've tried to draw a bull tag in maine unsuccessfully since then.

I am headed to Newfoundland in September for moose. Eastern Canadian Moose are not nearly as big as Alaskan/Yukon Moose but can still be respectable. The price tag for a hunt in Newfoundland is also a lot easier to swallow than one in Alaska.

What outfitter are you considering in Newfoundland? I'm currently looking at an option in northern ontario. This would be my first moose hunt - i hear it's a blast!
