Do they REALLY fly like field tips?

In my experience they do. I shot them and field points interchangeably with no difference noted.

My ONLY negative to them is that they seem to go TOO far after passing through an animal causing lost arrows sometimes! I shot 2 bucks with them this year (1 of them had a wound channell through it's whole body you could have pushed your arm through and the second one did not have as big of wound channell, but he was alive for 7 seconds after the arrow passed through him. I'm a believer

I haven't had this problem. The doe I shot from 22' up a tree and about half the arrow was buried in the dirt!

I started shooting them mid season this year. I to have been shooting the rage for a few years. I've mostly shot the two blade after poor performance of the three blade. I grew tired of very poor blood trails from the 2 blade rage. I've had 5 kills with 5 shots in the past two years with the rage with tracking from 25 to 100 yards max, four of them went less than 50 yards. The problem was tiny specks of blood from good shot placement!

I started the evaluation by shooting one Ramcat followed by two field points from 10 to 40 yards. NOT ONCE did my group not appear to be larger than if it had been three field points!

I shot a doe with it in late December and was blown away. Large entrance and exit with lots of blood and deer falling within sight of the blind!

Like MS stated, it will take one heck of a BH to pull the Ramcat from my quiver!

I tested the Ramcats, Inverter, Tekan T3 and Rage 2 Blade and Phathead SOB before this season started for accuracy and for penetration on a brand new Blob target. Time and time again, the Ramcat was more consistent with my FP's than any of the other heads (could have been at times also), but on a brand new Blob target, the Ramcat ALWAYS out penetrated each head on every shot. Out to 60 yards, the Ramcat was right with my FP's and I ended up destroying a couple FOB's because of their accuracy. I shot 5 animals, Impala, Zebra, Tessebe, Warthog and Waterbuck with them in RSA in 2010 and I blew threw the Tessebe, hit the offside legbone on the Impala and Waterbuck, complete penetration on the Zebra and I hit the Warthog (a true monster) square in the back of the left ham with complete pentration from an elevated hide at 22 yards. i also blew thru the bull in my avatar (1000# estimated live weight) at 38 and 44 yards. Like I said above, it will take one heck of a head to take them out of my quiver. Here are pics of Ramcat kills.

I don't hunt from trees. I hunt from the ground and those Ramcats zip through them and keep flying like they didn't even hit anything

I think I'm sold on them! I will be buying some from C&S archery here pretty soon!

I'd figure that entrance on the zebra would have slowed it down a bunch! Wow!

Did I anger the sleeping giant by posting my lone doe kill.... I don't think they'll ever take over the slick tricks in popularity but we are on the way.

Awesome post, I'll go back to cleaning the garage now.

Did not wake anyone, that is one awesome hole on that doe! Love the video and what the arrow did after it passed thru her. Wicked!

Speaking of the lone doe kill with a Ramcat (so Slick8 doesn't feel left out ;-)).
                              Double lung shot!
