I live just like you do but I just like to plan ahead. I dont worry about which event will happen or when itll happen. Im man with a plan cause when you got a wife and two daughters, its a man's job to make sure the fort is well fortified and to provide well enough of food in case of "anything that happens"

I get whole family involved and teach them in case a scenario do happen. People who dont plan ahead will not survive for very long. Facts of life as history has proven itself from time to time.

Simple as that. Has nothing to do.with wearing a tinfoil or acting like mountain men. Its okay to plan.

By the looks of it, you may be in a need of a prep H!

I prep. You never know. I've got two family bug out bags ready to go at all times. I saw some local looting and chaos after a hurricane years ago. It was scary to watch average people lose it so fast. I almost had to draw down on a guy in my yard. It motivated me to be prepared and protected--for anything.

She doesn't have to be faster than the bear... just a hair faster than the others running from the bear.

I know some preppers take fitness into account. Even some here on the GS. I just don't understand why all of them don't account for the bodies' physical ability to survive.

My uncle is a 'doomsday' junkie. He's got every firearm know to man and LOADS of ammo. Plus he is loaded up on food, water, 25+ acres in the country with a spring fed pond. He is prepared. I'm just going to head to his place when SHTF.

This! Human behavior changes on a dime when chaos ensure.

Very true but mental also plays vital role in being prepared. If the mental is not prepared for the worse, this person would b s.o.l.

Btw, Ive seen that show you posted video on. Dadgum, their endurance are way off the chart!

What exactly are you planning for? A nuclear holocaust? Say you have 20 cases of bottled water....That means you will survive a few more weeks right? I guess I just don't get it.

You could do like the House of Yahweh do here in Abilene and bury school buses as fallout shelters....
