Game warden told me and pic in TPWD annual book shows that any time that one antler is a single and other antler with branched one is spike. My property has several single branch on both antler is still a spike.

If there's a small branch growing out of both antler is not a spike anymore.

At least one unbranched antler is legit. Now go fold him up like a pancake.

If it is spike/antlerless season he does not qualify. It has to be a true spike meaning both antlers are unbranched.

Special note: that is what a GW told me anyways.

                    Interesting!

Its important that you look at TPWD for the county ure hunting in. Better be safe than sorry!

I had same spike that had a long antler that shoots right up on both side but right side was a bit smaller than the left.

You're correct. Spike season is for deer have NO branched antlers.
