I hunt in Duval, My dad said that yesterday a few bucks were checking does that were out feeding. I would believe that the pre rut is on. I did see bucks last week that were pretty aggitated. Noticed some broken tines. Lot of scrapes. Time to rattle I think. Goog luck.

I hunted Jim Wells county last week (Wed-Thurs) and the bucks were not chasing at all. I shot a management buck and he was with several other bucks...still in a bachelor group. I don't know where you hunt but this was the healthiest buck I think I have ever shot!
