    Broadheads for exotics

What kind of broadheads are you exotic hunters using? I'll be heading out to JW Wildlife Co in February with a blackbuck, axis, or oryx in my sights.

I know it won't matter for the blackbuck, but what about the oryx and axis? I've been using Grim Reapers the last 2 years for whitetails and they have been performing flawlessly.

    Thanks in advance

I use the same for all animals. A cut on contact fixed blade. If I had to use an expandable, I would shoot the Grim Reaper Broadhead.

Those Grim Reapers you're using will work just fine! Remember, it ALL comes down to shot placement. Without that, it won't matter which broadhead you're shooting.

Good luck, looking forward to the LDP's!

I've been using the 2" Whitetail Edition and was thinkin of going with the 1 3/8" cut for the bigger exotics. I should get some better penetration out of the smaller heads.

Use what flies well from you bow ans works on Whitetails. Confidence is key.

Every exotic I have shot really seem to not like Rage 2 blades to much................every one has dropped within sight including my buffalo.

I think it's a legitimate question! The man asked for an opinion, not some smart azz remark!

I shot my YO Axis with a Rage2. Quartering away, right through the last couple of ribs. It only went 60 yards or so before piling up.

Any bh will work as long as you hit the vitals.

I'm partial to slick tricks. I've used them on a variety of game from here to Africa with outstanding results. Regardless of what broadhead you use, just remember to place the broadhead a little forward on the oryx.

Good luck and share some pictures after the hunt.

The guys at JW are 100% first class and all around excellent, you'll have a great time!
