Popping the Question

Well guys, last week I took the girlfriends parents out to dinner and had "the talk" about marrying their daughter. They both we're super excited and said they'd love to have me as a son in law. I've developed a really good relationship with both her dad and mom over the last two years, as they remind me a lot of my parents. Also last week, I picked up her ring from the jeweler, and I'll tell you what, it's a lot harder to hide a ring than you would of thought! She's been wanting to get engaged now for about six months, but really has no clue it's coming. I've been playing stupid when she brings up an engagement, and I usually use the excuse that I need to save up more money before I do anything. She usually gets a little irritated at me and just last night I heard, "Well, why did you just buy me new arrows for my bow? You could have saved that money for a ring!" Also over the past two years my parents and her parents have become good friends. This weekend my parents and us are headed to our ranch in Kinney County, and we invited her parents to go along to shoot some management bucks and axis deer. I don't know how but I think I'm going to pop the question at the ranch this weekend, just because we both love to hunt, and our parents will be there. She should be totally surprised. I will try to keep yal updated throughout the weekend!

I blew my SIL away when he asked to marry my daughter.
He sat across from me in the restaraunt and said " I would like to ask your permission to marry your daughter." I looked at him and her and said "I am not sure that you should be punished that bad." He busted out laughing, my wife about choked, and my daughter started saying "daddy."

AWESOME!!! Congrats to you!!! Just love her more than love yourself and you'll be good. My wife is my best friend. Major pre-requisite before marriage. You marry the one God has picked for you, be the spiritual leader of the house... and add that she is your best friend= NO DIVORCE. God hates divorce.

Well I made the mistake of taking her to look at rings multiple times, and told her I was saving up. So in theory she's not pushing it, I dug that hole.

Na, she knows I'm on TBH a lot, and although I got her a bow for Christmas, she hasn't joined the fire yet. Hopefully it'll be after this weekend. She's still addicted to that "pinterest" thing.
