My cousin sold his place in coleman so no more hunting there for me  anyways, hes looking at some land in oklahoma and was wondering if u own the land, do u have to have out of state license? What about friends who hunt( or family  )? Thanks

yes, and yes. It should go off of your place of residence.

    Just an assumption though

I believe it goes off where you claim residency and has nothing to do with ownership of land. Like a CHL.

Luckily the licensing requirements for out of state hunters have changed drastically this year. No more do you have to buy the license and tags separately. $280 now gets you six tags with the archery deer license.

You have to be a Resident of the state.

You have to live for more than 6 months out of the year to claim residency. You will be paying out of state prices.... thats the problem with land in OK even though it is much much cheaper.

Most states you have to live there at a permanent address before you are considered a resident

Yeah we havce a ranch in southern Oklahoma but since I live in Texas I have to pay for a non resident license every year. The thing I love about Oklahoma is there is a muzzleloader season for about a week and a rifle season for a couple weeks but other than that October through January is Archery only. I buy a combo ( meaning a buck and a doe tag) archery tag every year and it was $250 for a while but has gone up I believe I paid around three hundred last year.
