How about washing it in scent killer laundry soap? 3-4 times if needed.

Find a friend who is a woodworker that has a planer. Buy a cedar fence board at HD or Lowes and run it through the planer and collect the shavings. Put 'em in a cloth bag and stick in the backpack and set in the sun for a couple of days.

Get a large bottle of lemon juice.
Put back pack in bucket or a tub.
Add the whole bottle on juice to the water in the tub & let it sit in there for a few days stirring it around every now and then and adding one more bottle of lemon juice to freshen it up on second to third day. After that take it out and air dry it.
After dry fill it will pine bedding/wood chips and let it sit for another couple days.
Then you should be good to go.

          2 choices
          (1) buy a need one, they don`t cost that much
          (2) When in the woods ,be ever vigil.

Buy a new truck too, they don't cost that much either.

That's all in the eye of the beholder.

x2.. A few years ago one of the guys that goes with Keep on the Quebec bear hunt got his gloves into something nasty.. The rotten moose meat maybe.. They used put the gloves in a bag and put it in front of the ozonics machine for some number of hours.. Wiped the smell out and it never came back.. Definately worth a try if its an expensive pack

Strap it to a hog. He will learn real quick to stay away from your deer feeder!

Wash it then put it in a closet and let the ozonics run till its out of battery... those things took the smell out of an entire room at my house... but dont be home when you do it... ozone is bad for you in an enclosed space.
