Pheasant Hunt advice needed

I am putting together a kansas pheasant hunt for November/December 2012. The guide has opening weekend available, or a December 10th date available as a second option.

Should I have a preference for either date (November 10 or dec 10)? As of today, I am leaning towards opening weekend.

Pro: I'd do opening weekend as the longer you wait the more the birds are going to be stirred up.

Con: If you go opening weekend the numbers of hunters will be ridiculous...

Definitely opening weekend. More hunters yes, but typically better hunting.
FYI- hunting here in Texas is pretty good too. Hunted several times up in Dalhart in the panhandle and did great. Opening weekend was a must as the longer you waited the more jumpy the birds were. They would jump and fly way early way out of shooting range.
