Definitly think he got hit by a snake...

So my lab has a bad habit of licking sore spots on himself especially if we pin him up... Well he licked this on his foot and it's been there awhile. After a few weeks it rose up a bit and I tried draining it trying to see if my e he had thorn or whatever. I've been around dogs my entire life so it's no thing for use to staple up our own dogs of they get hit by a javelina in south Texas or tear them selves open on a fence... Well a lil drainage came out put nothing much so I chalked it up to being yet another hot spot and just keep cleaning it every day and applying antiseptic too it.. Well while cleaning it and lookin over it today I noticed these two nicely spaces scars... Think my guy got hit by a snake a few months back... He's been vaccinated so to me this is my proof the able vaccine works.. Sent the pic to my vet and he confirmed he believes it looks like a snake bite and to start him on amoxicillin and just keep cleaning it.. Begin we have a kennel our vet keeps us stocked with the antibiotics and what not... I always say my dog is all talk and is really a big **** but I guess he proved me wrong. He's a trooper.

Shoot, he's great. Never limped nothing. I honestly can't tell ya how long he had this before I noticed it. Like I said, he will chew and lick himself none stop in a kennel. He's never pinned up unless we're gone bc he likes to run around the sub division behind us and were afraid animal control will pick him up when we leave pending how long we're gone he will either go in the crate or a kennel. It is pretty tender when I squeeze on it bc he squirms. I stuck a needle and seringe in it tonight to see if it would drain and he took it like a champ until I squeezed. We named him SUE.. So I guess he took the reputation of a boy named sue and is living up to it
