    With all this ice chest talk................

    Sure wish I would've seen the special on the Brute Box's (seemed like a slammin' deal) but here's some food for thought.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-TE4RnqT0U"]High End Cooler Test by SportsmanGuys.comâ„¢ - - YouTube[/ame]

    I'm not knocking any cooler brand. If I was rich I'd buy a high dollar 1 but I'm not so I won't.

    That seemed to be a pretty fair assessment.

      So if I can't get to another bag of ice for 10 days then the high end coolers would be of some benefit. Otherwise just buy a couple of more bags and save a ton.
      Or spend the cash and impress your friends...

        I have one of the colemans. It works great. Much better than my igloo. I am looking to get another coleman. Had mine for a few years now.

          Saw this and it's the reason why I use the Coleman Extremes

              I bought a Coleman Extreme at Academy a few weeks ago. I think I paid $70 for it. Looks like it kept ice just about as good as the best ridiculously expensive coolers. I'm sure it isn't bear-proof, but I've yet to have a bear problem where I take coolers. I don't make a habit of dropping my coolers out of the back of my pickup, and I don't drop them off of cliffs and such. I imagine it'll last me several years, as I don't use coolers too often.

                Couldn't a person buy an ice machine for the cost of these high dollar coolers?

                      I think that was the point of the test. I could be wrong. Maybe they rigged it. They also sell another one that was in the test.

                        BUT, they said Coleman was the best bang for the buck & they don't even sell it. Also, they sell the IRP & it didn't win. AND....AND I bet they started selling the Engels AFTER they did the test.

                            That seems to be my problem as well.

                              Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Pulling brews out every 10 minutes lets out a lot of cold but makes for a grand hunt!!
