As the lease manager, the rules apply to you as well as your members..even to a higher standard since you are the manager...as someone earlier had suggested, what rules apply to members when a guest of theirs shoots a deer that they shouldnt...how you deal with it on a personal level is up to you,but would guess you already know the answer

i have seen managers or their buddies break the same rules they had just kicked a member off for.

Mistake = invite back and hopefully lesson learned; however, from what you have said, this was not the case. He shot a deer that he knew he was not supposed to despite your "friendship". He made the decision for you. This was blatant disrespect for you and friends don't do that, ever. Your question should have been "Do I whoop his rear end or not?"

Your guest-your responsibility. If you have not taken your trophy for the season then it should be considered your trophy for this season. If you have already taken your trophy then you should tell the other hunters that to make things right you will not take a trophy buck next season and assure them that he will never be allowed to hunt alone again. This way all the other lease members will respect you and you will not loose your friendship with your guest.

dartin deer and moving them around is a gainst the law...the main thing I saw was that he took a dump on yout trust...and I know how that feels when you lose trust in someone you hunt with..you can still drink beer with him at Bownanza...just dont hunt with him again.....anywhere....even whitewings

He had a tag, the doe was legal, but he was clearly instructed NOT to shoot a deer. We are still friends. This happened 3 years ago. He has asked when I will take him again. I told him I can no longer have guests on that place.
There you go....
