Question on what you count as an antler point

Always wondered how you scored a deer rack. I have a ten that has some stickers around the base of the antler. They are both 3/4" inch long.....do you count them as points?

I believe it has to be 1" to count or deducted from score

1" scorable bycmeasurement for rifle. Bow kills get the ring toss for point count

To be a scoreable point according to P&Y, a baseline must be established for that point and it must be at least 1" long without rounding up to be the first criteria meet. The second is to measure down from the top of the point to 1" and the base at this point must be less than the 1". Another words, if you measure a point after establishing a baseline and it is 1" long, but at that 1" mark down from the top of the point the base then measures 1 1/4", it would not be a scoreable point. Very seldom does this happen but it has or it would not be in the rules. Hope I did not confuse anyone.

You have the answer, I won't retype the entire book, but the point needs to be at least an inch, but the base can be no wider than the point. Measure down from the tip to 1", and if at that measurement the width is less, yep a point. You can check this website for a scorer in your area- http://www.texasbiggameawards.org/

Won't be a B&C/P&Y, but at least give you a baseline.

If someone else shoots it, it has to be an inch to count, But if I shoot it, all bumps count...

Hunters point= hang a ring, measurable point is inch or better.
