Want to buy a nice gift for a client - any suggestions?

We have several very loyal clients who do repeat business with us in our vacation cabin rental business, and we want to send them something nice for Christmas, some sort of food item. $50 is probably our upper limit, per client. Any suggestions? Anyone tried some of the food baskets from Cabelas or similiar?

Thanks for any pointers in the right direction.

I would put together your own baskets with local food items. Stuff from local restaurants, vendors that they may only get when they come to visit. That is what we do for all of our out of town friends.

Any experience with Cabelas food gift baskets?

I'm looking through the Harry and David site right now, lots of cool stuff there.

Anyone ever had the Perini Ranch Mesquite Smoked Peppered Tenderloin? It's way out of my price range to give as a gift for this particular occasion, but man does my mouth water when I look at pics and read about that item!

check out Prasek's Smokehouse in Hillje. I know they have some nice gift stuff.
Family isn’t just a noun in Texas. It’s also an adjective! Prasek's Family Smokehouse is the place for Texas BBQ.

The evergreen wreath table pieces from LLBean I've sent were always appreciated, but they don't taste as good as the above. I've never gotten anything from Cabelas that was not 100% quality, but there were local places suggested too.

While not as personal, a $50 gift certificate from Cabelas is a nice gift, include a note you couldn't decide what was best, so you'll let them make the choice. 10 years ago I'd have said it was impersonal, but look at all the gift certificates for sale in supermarkets, somebody must be buying them.

I second Omaha Steaks! I have used them for several years with no complaints and I have received several gift packages from them as well. Their meat is very good!

Indulge in Exquisite Delights - Susie's South Forty offers a delightful selection of handcrafted chocolates, toffee, pralines, and custom gifts. Experience pure bliss with our artisanal treats and elevate your moments with the magic of premium confections.

Seriously, if you have never had this toffee, you have not lived! It's the best I have ever had. Actually I've never tasted anything like it. Not heavy and the flavor is incredible. If you send a tin to an office, it will be gone instantly. Our realtor sent us some after we bought our house and it was one of the best "appreciation" type gifts I had gotten. Yeah, I know. It's just toffee, but it's NOT!
