My season has ended without a deer

I tried hunting this last weekend but my neck is screwed up again. I couldn't stand to sit in the blind and had to head home.
This is the first season in 6 that I haven't shot a deer. I had plenty of chances but not any real shooters in my opinion.

Protein feeder will be filled in a couple of weeks and the prep and wait for next season is on.

This is the first season in six years i have killed a deer. I've gotten two, but I still have until the second week of January.

I'm in your club. I was after a big 10 and a long spike all year. Had shots at several other deer, but I already had my mind set on those two. I let the spike go earlier in the season and looking back, probably should have whacked him then, but oh well. 2012 will be better. Refilling the feeders this week and checking to see what all survived the year.

I passed up shots at small bucks in Kansas and Wyoming so I can't complain. I'll be at the Double L Ranch in another week and I'll take my frustration out on some hogs!

I hunted from 6 am to 6 pm in hopes that I would get something. Not to be this year.

That's hunting .... I wish I could have a run like yours. Got my first buck in Ohio this year after 25 yrs trying. I average a tag sandwich about every other year in Indiana.

I didnt get one either, don't feel bad. I only saw 4 does all year, and that was in one sitting. Of course it was AFTER we could kill does in our county.

I only saw one shooter this year. Got to full draw on him but could not get a shot. He headed off and 20 min. later I heard my neighbor shoot so I am sure he got him.

It was a tough season for all of us on my lease ------ as far as I know there were no deer taken on our place.

Hardin County is tuff hunting . I quit trying to bow hunt East Tx years ago . Sure you can kill deer in East Tx and even some great bucks with a bow . However your chances go way up if you go to Hill Country , West , or South TX . JMO
