Friend A goes to Freind B and Freind C (who own a chemical trucking company together) and says I have $100k I would like to put into your company in exhchange for a proportionate amount of ownership. Freind B and freind C say perfect we have been needing to purchase some more equipment and your $100k would do us good in that process. Our company is worth $1,000,000 so we will exchange your $100,000 for a 10% ownership in the company. Freind A, Freind B, Freind C all go to the lawyer that created their company in the first place and have he/she add the new 10% owner in the company and pay the required fees to do so.
