The owl decoy will work for a couple of weeks then they will start landing on it. The best thing is start killing them off with a gun and the rest will start getting the idea eventually.

Try this. We use to use this on a commercial building for pigeons. It comes in a caulk tube like container, and it burns their feet when they land. you could put it in the rafters.

lots of fishing sting, zig zagged back and forth, They do this at coastal restruants to keep sea gulls out and it's not an eyesore and works

We did spike strips and closed off the cubby holes at the church and the pigeons left. Owl with moving head and rubber snake didn't work. Well, the snake did work but it was on the guy putting up the spikes that didn't know the snake was there.

Get some of that smelly fire ant poison and throw it in the rafters to kill the fire ants. It is illegal to kill some birds with poison so just use it for fire ant.

the smell will drive them away.

My mom & dad live in Crystal Beach and they use a hand full of moth balls in panty hose and hang it in the rafters.

Lots of good advice here. They also make a Hawk Decoy. I would just change out the Owl with a hark in a few weeks. And keep doing it. Also anything that will flop in the wind with keep them out. I use pin wheels in my garden and Wal-Mart sacks on my small trees when the woodpeckers show up. After a week or 2 the woodpeckers move on and I can take them down.
Shot gun is best! Just sayin'
