Getting slammed for something I did not do!

Kind of got a kick out of this at first but now it's kind of bothering me! Yesterday I had a buddy approach me and asked me if I had a confrontation while duck hunting the other day. I said no why?

He goes on to tell me that his buddy told him that a couple of his friends had a run in with me. They said a boat pulled into a hole they were setting up on at 615 and began cussing them out saying get out of my blind and so on. Then they go on to say that the boat did a circle around them and hauled tail out! After that the game warden shows up and writes tickets for various game violations.

When asked who the jerk was in the boat the said it was ME! Which couldn't be further from the truth! They said I was in a flatbottom with an outboard and I run a semi-v with a Gatortail. Then they said I had a dog which I do but I don't hunt him because he's a pup. They also said I called the game warden because I am a deputy. Which is just a stupid comment all together.

At first I didn't worry about it but now I have had 3 phone calls and heard I am being bashed on an unnamed forum!

All I can say is wow to all this, I am always first to where I hunt because I leave early. I have never had a run in with anyone and I would never cuss anyone over a duck hole. I also would never act out like that being that I work with the public everyday.

He said he was going to clear it up for me. He told them that no way could it of been me when he heard about it but said he would ask me about it though. He said he told them that I wouldn't act like that.

No clue what forum, I googled around today but could find anything. Heard it was a Facebook forum but checked and couldn't find anything on there either.

Dont sweat it man. It could have been any yahoo. Thats public duck hunting for you. They were probably just so mad they couldnt even think or see straight and thought of you as a likely suspect. There is going to be confrontations and people trying to run you out of your own blind even if you built it. Blinds are going to get burned people are going to set up on top of you, its all just part of it. But its still free so thats just how it goes. Its pretty funny that they were a bunch of poachers and got ticketed though.

I see your from chambers county too. So we get to deal with all the wanna be duck hunters driving from everywhere to hunt our marshes. I used to tell them wrong directions when they ask where to hunt and always liked to get them to follow me then run across every sandbar and mudflat around on the way out in my go devil. All in good fun of course. Send them back to Houston.
