any Pest Control Technicians or Exterminators around ? drywall termintes

I believe I have a small colony of drywall termites

Noticed 4 pin head sized holes on the ceiling of my daughters room. The pin hole area is 3ft x 3ft as I can see where they burrowed underneath the drywall/sheetrock paper and formed "tunnels" . After inspection, this is the only place they have been located in my house.

I've been in the attic and inspected the framing lumber and see no visible damages to the wood. I found one of the tiny termites burrowing through the ceiling as I recognized it as a "worker" . I have not seen or noticed any "swarmer" or "soldier" termites.

I've not seen any fecal matter or entrance mud tunnels around the perimeter of my house and do not see any visible termite damage to any wood or side boards. My house is on a cement slab and brick

Since they are confined to such a small area I want to DIY and treat before it gets out of hand.

just curious from the professionals .... can I treat it myself with a sprayer using BoraCare or Termidor SC ? Do you recommend Premise foam, Invader HPX aerosol, Premise gel , or other products ?

any recommendations where to buy these chemicals ? I've only searched http://www.epestsupply.com/termite_supplies.php for the chemicals

I don't mid buying online and spending $50 - 100 on chemicals , just trying to avoid an Exterminator treating the problem and handing me a $500 bill

    thx for your help

these are examples and i-net pics, yet closely resemble what I found

doole44 is a good guy but he's at the ranch hunting. I'd send him a pm and see if he can help you. He's a good dude!

Most likely sub terrain termites. Coming up from the dirt, means they have made it all the way to the top and started going across. When I was in pest control we always used Termidor. Those little ******** are big trouble. Hope you get them quick before they cause major damage.

I'm not an exterminator, but I wanted to mention that one of the bad things about termites is they're very skilled at eating almost all the way up to a surface without actually penetrating it. One time, I went to take off a door casing as part of a home remodel. The door casing looked fine from the outside, no indication of termite damage. But when I tried to take it off, I was shocked that there was virtually no wood at all, just the many layers of paint that had been applied over the years forming sort of a shell. Inside the paint where the wood should have been, it was all eaten out and filled with dirt. Point being, I don't think you can necessarily assume it's confined to just what you've found. I hope that it is, though.

Think house value here and call an exterminator.

Those are subterranean and are getting in from the ground. The only way to stop them is to find where they are getting into the house from the soil and treat the soil. I would call a professional. The damage they could do is exponential conpared to what it would cost to have a professional treat.

It isnt cheap thats for sure. Maybe you can get away with a spot treatment though.

hoping for a centralized spot treatment

if not, myself or the pest control technician may be doing this ASAP
