Got Hosed by Academy....what to do?

My wife was just going through her account online checking on things after Christmas shopping and all.....and she found that Academy had actually charged her 245 and change on a transaction that only added up to 195 and change. Big Problem is that she threw the receipt away already.....anything we can do, or just accept the fact that some ******* there decided to add them a 50 dollar gift card courtesy of us????

Can she get an itemized statement from her bank or cc company and take that to the store? Then make them change the charge?

Go talk to the store director at the Lubbock store, he's usually very helpful in these situations. If you remember the date of your sale, they should be able to look up your receipt as well.

They can definitely look up ur reciept. You can also file a claim through ur bank.

I was trying to figure out how they tacked on the $50 after the transaction was complete unless they did it right there and it wasn't noticed. I shop quite a bit at the Lubbock Academy and have had very few problems other than the lack of knowledge behind the gun counter.

My wife had the same thing happen to her at Walmart in Abilene two Christmases ago.

They hire extra help during the holiday seasons, and don't screen them real well.

Wife went in to buy some stuff, and the checkout clerk bought a TV with the wifes card #.
Caught it quick, and was refunded with an apology.
Don't know what ever happened to the clerk.
