I fried a Turkey out on the back porch took it out once and turned off the bottle. Took the bird inside but was not quite done, took it back outside and cooked it a few more minutes. Took it back inside and sat down started eating . About the time we got finished with desert I heard something that sounded like heavy rain, turned to look out the window and saw a orange glow outside! I immediatelyknew what it was! I had forgotten to turn the bottle off the second time. The oil and the propane bottle were on fire! The neighbor and I put water hoses on the propane and a lid on the pot and had the fire out before the fire department showed up but the checked the house and attic out.
I am not this stupid, I work in construction and we tall about and practice safety every day. But this happened because I got in a hurry and could have been very very bad for my whole family
Please people learn from my mistake, slow down, put safety first at home and if you don't have one get a fire extinguisher, I will be getting three today.
