PM Duck hunting

I've been trying to get my teenage boys to hunt this week and they hate the early mornings. On a whim, we went out for a PM hunt and found a flooded grass patch in what is left of the lake. Wow! We have done well with large groups of pintails and gadwalls consistently working with a few single
Mallards working in.

PM hunting may threaten my strategy at this pace. Sleep in till 9:30, big brunch and noon hunting... It is awful tempting!

Anyone else have successful PM hunts?

PM hunts are awsome on the Laguna Madre. Put the boat in about 2:30, tossing out dekes by 3:00,blasting away by 4:00 and home for dinner by 6:00.

Lake hunting can be great in the evenings. We catch them going to the big water to roost.
