Messed a good one last night

It hurts to type this but I shot under a 140in deer last night by far the largest deer I've had a opportunity at.

I know the feeling. Hunting a buck this year and he heard me draw back, he bolted and haven't seen him since.

Sorry to hear you didn't get him then, and I know how disappointed you must be, but the thrill was still worth it, was it not? He'll be back, or else, there's always next year. Good luck.

I know the feeling. Did the same thing. This buck would spoke and squat. So I amed low and when I released the arrow he forgot to squat. I grazed his belly. Have had him come back but not giving a shot.

I hope. I'm hunting hard for the last 4 days of the season. He was sporting at least 12 points and trash at his bases. We haven't caught this deer on the trail cam. It was diffidently a shot of a life time.

Oh it's about a miss. I thought you were talking about some kind of epic bathroom episode.

Ha ha had to give you a hard time! Good luck, maybe you'll get a second chance at the big boy.

I know the feeling. I had a doe at 20 yds in low light. This was an easy broadside shot, and it grazed the hair on her spine (had hair at the base of the vane). This would have been the first one to bring home this season. Wife said that she jumped the string. I spent all day practicing to be ready for the next time. Up close is difficult. They seem bigger than life and present what looks like an easy shot. Dang if I have had an easy shot yet. The thrill was amazing to let one fly, especially after passing on doe at just past my range the other day. Hang in there, bud. I know it will be worth it when you get your next chance at him.
