    Blob Target owners......

I have possibly changed my new target choice since looking at prices comparing surface area with the Rineharts.

Let's hear your experiences with them....pros and cons....length you've had them and how they held up to fieldpoints and broadheads.

So far I am hearing they have a pretty stiff arrow pull for field points but they break in and get easier. Also hearing they do well with broadheads.

I have several Blobs I have been shooting for a few years now. The aluminum on the FMJ's pull easier than carbon. My 20 yrd Blob is getting a little soft in the middle the arrows are not passing all the way through yet but getting close.Have started working around the center now. BH heads pull easier than field points but are a lot harder on the target. The more you shoot the easier the arrow removal. For outside and the price I am very satisfied with them. But like any target they will eventually wear out.I am thinking about getting a Spider Web for the shop inside.

I've had one of their 24x24's for over a year now, but only use it for broadheads.
Broadheads come out with some minor jiggling.
I shot 3 fieldpoints in it when I first got it and it took me over 10 minutes to get those suckers out.
My plan is to slowly "soften" it up with broadheads then eventually shoot everything into it.

Do a search for "blob" top right of screen when on the Around the Campfire main page. Lots of past discussion about them. Good luck and keep us all posted via text on your search.

Past discussion focuses on purchases ...not a year of usage afterward....

Paul...they have free shipping for the 24x24x10 now til tomorrow afternoon....hence my reason for posting..

They have started cutting them down so that they don't require an 18 wheeler full to deliver like a year or so ago.....look here...

X2. Field points pull out of my Rhineharts very easily.

When I first bought the blob it was difficult to pull field points. I believe it just hadn't fully cured in the middle. After a week or so it was much easier....it got even easier after a few broadheads.
Its been exposed to the weather for a little over a year and no deterioration. I'd definitely recommend them for a permanent target. You won't be moving them around much as my 24x24 probably weighs close to 80lbs.

This is what I probably would end up doing if I got one and softening up an area for field points with broadheads for awhile...I managed to make my Yellow Jacket last for almost 5 years doing this...this blob may be a lifetime...

Looks like they really take the abuse....

Well....after some quick research and talking to some folks, I decided to pull the trigger on the blob holiday special for my home target and get an 18n1 for around the lease and taking elsewhere. I woke up going to buy a big Rinehart and took what looks like to be a cheaper yet longer lasting detour for the home. Thanks to all that replied and PM'd/texted me with their experiences. Love the information available at this place....it soothes the OCD....
